Tsar Beef was founded in 2015 with a powerful question: Who controls our food supply, and why are African and female entrepreneurs excluded from the picture? What began as curiosity grew into conviction and today, Tsar Beef stands as a movement for equity, transformation, and excellence in the South African food industry.
Our founder entered the meat sector not just to trade in products, but to change an entire system. Inspired by her experiences in farming and the disruptions to food access during the 2021 civil unrest, she built Tsar Beef to be a dependable, inclusive supplier.
